What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a comprehensive therapy approach that works neurologically to help individuals become less reactive to distressing memories. By integrating elements of cognitive-behavioural, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies; EMDR maximizes treatment effects. It follows a structured protocol for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and related experiences, reducing emotions, beliefs, and sensations that are no longer helpful.

Trauma Therapy Fundamentals
Trauma therapy is rooted in the person's ability to make choices about each session; whether they want to address the past, present or future concerns. The level of depth and detail is also in the person's control. People address concerns only when and if they are ready. It is recommended that people share slowly. Therapy often moves tenderly and intentionally from the issue of concern into areas of strength and resource.

Emotions are thoughts moving through our body.
